What is Avatar Gaming & Gifts?

Avatar Gaming & Gifts is a store that caters to role-players, live action role players, and Rennaissance faire fans. It's a store that carries a lot of different items all under one roof, which is our goal.

Is there a game room?

Yes. We have a game room. The rent is $1 per person per hour during store hours. If you want to reserve the game room outside of store hours, then the cost is $2 per person per hour and requires store owner permission. We have a schedule in the store of available times. Also, we try to keep the website up to date.

How do I reserve the game room?

To reserve the game room, come into the store to check the schedule, call, or email your request. We will confirm if the room is available. Please let us know if your scheduled game is canceled at least 24 hours in advance. Some games are open to the public and some games are private - game master privilege.

What sort of items do you carry?

We carry figurines of medieval characters, medieval costuming, Tree Free greeting cards, costume hats, different types of armor, working replicas of medieval writing sets, latex weaponry, replica swords, dice for role-playing games, role-playing game supplies, jewelry, and more. If you don't see it, ask.

Do you special order items?

We will special order and there is no additional charge to do so. It is one way for us to discover new items that we may be interested in carrying.

Do you have a Catalog?

At present, we do not have a printed catalog as we are always adding new items. We do have an online catalog and post new items as soon as they become available, so keep us bookmarked.

Can I order items online?

Yes, we have an online catalog. What you see when clicking the Products' link is what we carry in the store. We won't put the item on the web catalog unless we carry it in the store.

When will my order ship?

99% of the time your order is shipped within a few days and will arrive 5-10 business days after you've ordered. But please note, it can take up to 21 business days. We normally use USPS First Class or Priority mail though sometimes UPS is utilized for special requests (S&H estimates)

If your order ships via USPS Priority Mail or UPS you will be sent a confirmation email with tracking information (make sure your email software does not filter out emails from the Postal Service or UPS). You can obtain your order status by emailing us at Email us and please include your order number.

Are there items online that are not in the store?

We won't put the item on the web catalog unless we carry it in the store. For those items that are not feasible for us to carry, e.g., boots, we will have a link to a vendor who does.

Why do I need a login?

You need a login so we know if we need to charge sales tax or not. Also, it makes it easier for us to contact you if there is an issue with the order/shipment. It also helps us keep track of the order. We will never give or sell your name to anybody else. We don't like it when other businesses do that with our names.

Is my account and credit card information safe?

Yes! Our store's registration, checkout, and payment pages are routed through an SSL server. Sites secured by SSL are utilizing 128-bit SSL certificates. If you are using Firefox when ordering online, the site utilized 256-bit encryption. This means you can rest assured that communications between your browser and our site's web servers are private and secure.

What type of payments do you accept?

We currently accept VISA, MasterCard, Paypal (where you can use American Express and Discover), checks, and money orders.

How does it work if I pay by check?

It will take longer to receive your order if you pay by check or money order. Once we receive payment it must be deposited and cleared. Once the funds are verified, your product will be shipped.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We offer a variety of international shipping options. Email us for more information!

Can I order by phone?

You can order by phone by calling 425-303-9080. However, we highly encourage you to use the shopping cart. Our store's registration, checkout, and payment pages are routed through an SSL server.

Am I charged sales tax?

If you have a Washington State shipping address, then yes. No sales tax will be applied to orders from any other states. A flat 8.5% sales tax is applied to all orders with a WA address.

Can I return an item?

Yes. In addition, all clothing and wigs have their own Return policy. If for any reason an item is unsatisfactory, the full sales price, minus S&H will be refunded once the product is returned unused, unmodified, and in a re-sellable condition within 14 days of receipt unless other arrangements have been made. You must contact us before returning an item. No exceptions will be made on this requirement.

What is your return policy for Clothing?

All clothing orders have 5 days from the receipt of the item to report any problems with the garment. You then have the option to return or exchange any unworn and unwashed items. All returns and exchanges must be authorized by emailing us for authorization and must be accompanied by a copy of the customer's invoice, an email address, and/or day time phone number. Shipping costs are not refundable.

Use care when opening the package and trying on the costume. Costumes returned must be in exactly the same condition as received (i.e., absolutely clean and folded neatly in bag with all original packaging intact.) As we sell only new, unused merchandise, the next person ordering will want to receive it in the same new condition as you did. We cannot accept returns on wigs. Once opened, wigs cannot be sold as new.

Please remember, you can't buy an outfit with the intent of wearing it for an event and then ask for a refund.

How do I know it will fit?

Costumes, unlike fitted garments, are made to accommodate as many people as possible. Many have elastic waistbands and utilize stretch fabrics, but they are not custom sized and seldom fit exactly. We realize ordering costumes by size through the mail is difficult especially when each company uses their own sizing charts. All sizes given are the manufacturer's claims. We do not guarantee the accuracy of their sizing. However, on many costumes, we have given measurements and guidelines to help with your decision. Please pay attention to your sizing when ordering as S&H fees will apply to items that are exchanged.
